Meta Open Arts, Bellevue, Washington — 2021

This site-specific mural was commissioned by Meta Open Arts and inspired by the vibrant ecosystems of the Salish Sea. The work reflects on the interconnection between human care and the living ocean—how we observe, nurture, and exist within the same complex, breathing system.

Flowing across multiple walls, the piece moves from deep underwater forms to luminous skies, tracing a journey from sea life to sunlight. Shapes reminiscent of anemones, coral, and tidal flora merge with symbolic hands and pathways, suggesting gestures of tending and exchange.

Painted with the help of an amazing local team, this mural celebrates the delicate balance of ecological and creative collaboration—where color, form, and attention become acts of stewardship.
